Aster 18 years with the company, Frank left MTV Networks in 2006 to relocate to Australia, joining the family investment and advisory business to expand their existing interests (including mining, commoditites, property and technologies).
Frank is regarded as one of the leading founders of MTV Networks International and of the cable and satellite TV industry, both in Europe and Asia. His strategic and operational leadership have been key factors in growing MTVN’s brands across these markets. Overseeing the launch of more than 20 TV channels, as well as consumer product divisions, online and mobile media initiatives, including a dozen joint ventures as well as wholly owned companies, Frank led these businesses from ground zero to distribution of hundreds of millions of homes and annual revenues and annual revenues of hundreds of millions of dollars under his responsibility.
He has been a speaker at many international conferences, (including World Economic Forum and Global Bank Forum), guest lecturer at universities (including Hong Kong, Tokyo, Stamford and UCLA), and frequent guest in business media coverage (including CNN, CNBC, Wall St Journal, Financial Times and national press).
Whilst based in Singapore he served on a variety of boards for Singapore Government Ministries in areas such as Trade Development, Economic Development, Tourism, Education, Infocomm Regulation and Development and Media Regulation and Development.
He holds a BA (Dual Honours) in Economics/French, with German subsidiary, and is the recipient of a number of prestigious honours, such as Contributions to Asian Media Industry Award (CASBAA, 2005), BFS Business Award (Singapore Govt, 2002), Asia’s Broadcaster of the Year (TV Asia, 1999) and To 100 International Marketers Worldwide.
