After graduating with a degree in Marketing from the University of New South Wales in 1981, Geoff worked in three international advertising agencies before embarking on a career with the Singapore Press Holdings Group.
In his 22 years of service at SPH, Geoff has operated across seven portfolios within the Marketing Division. These included pioneering the launch of Singapore’s very successful paid afternoon tabloid The New Paper, through to working with SingTel on a partnership project known as Teleview. Geoff also headed up the Advertising & Promotions arm of the Division.
In a Sales & Marketing capacity, Geoff spent a large part of his tenure consulting with clients across specific industry sectors, namely Banking/Finance, Property, Retail, Fashion/Beauty, FMCG and I.T.
In his current capacity, Geoff adorns two hats – he is the General Manager of SPH NewMedia [Zapcode Division], and also Senior Vice President & Head of Strategic Marketing. His responsibilities include birthing innovative sales initiatives, developing new business models, and evangelising SPH’s cross-media thrust into the marketplace.
Geoff was awarded the Marketer of the Year Award 2006 [Highly Commended] by the Pacific Area Newspaper Publishers’ Association.
