György Simó, Chief Operating Officer of Alternativ Business and Corporate Development Business Unit, Magyar Telekom Plc.
 
After graduating in sociology at ELTE University (Budapest) in 1997, György Simó worked in various media areas for nearly 10 years prior to joining the Matáv Group the market leader Hungarian integrated landline–mobile–online telco.
 
He began his carrier in 1999 as Program Director at MATÁVnet (from 2001 Axelero Internet than 2005 T-Online Hungary). In 2000 he was one of the leaders of the project elaborating the Group's Internet strategy. In 2000, György became Deputy General Director / Managing Director. In the same year he acted as General Chief Officer in charge of media, strategy and communication issues than 2002 he was a member of Board of Directors than in 2003 CEO of Axelero. He successfully built up the T-Online brand and played an outstanding role in the explosive spread of broadband Internet in Hungary.
 
At the end of 2006, he was appointed Magyar Telekom's Chief Operating Officer, Head of Wireline Services.
As of Januar 1, 2008 he is Chief Operating Officer of Alternative Businesses and Corporate Development Business Unit of Magyar Telekom.
Beside of this he is member of the Board of Directors at several companies, which have a main role in the media, internet end mobile communication world in Hungary.       
Furthermore he is a member of Board of Trustees of ‘Hungarian Movie Public Foundation and other non-profit organization.
